Emerging Leaders Network

Who are NWFA Emerging Leaders?

NWFA Emerging Leaders are young wood flooring professionals of all business types who portray an unmatched work ethic, attention to social consciousness, and strive to uphold industry standards for generations to come.

The primary mission of the NWFA Emerging Leaders Network is to give young professionals a voice in the association and the wood flooring industry, as well as to provide opportunities to connect and build relationships through education, networking and close involvement with projects directly impacting NWFA’s leadership.

What are the benefits of the Emerging Leaders Network?

If you are a young wood flooring professional, passionate about the trade, but you are not sure where to start, this group is the ideal way to get involved. Be recognized as a leader among industry peers and be given precedence when recruiting others into the network.
Members involved in this group can:

  • Join meetups annually at the Expo, as well as online conferences throughout the year, making connections among industry peers across all business types
  • Contribute content (success stories, social media advice, ideas on how to attract consumer attention, etc.) to NWFA and Hardwood Floors Magazine e-newsletters, publications, and online communities
  • Be paired with a mentor within the Emerging Leaders Network to help build connections and gain career insight from someone with more experience in the field
  • Play a critical role in implementing ideas into programs that will better serve young wood flooring professionals
  • Determine barriers among generations and use those results to develop solutions for a balanced work place environment
  • Use #NWFAELN to build awareness and instill pride.

When does the Network meet?

The Network will kick off during an exclusive reception at the 2017 Expo. This reception will provide a unique opportunity for Emerging Leaders to connect with each other and NWFA's existing leadership. Online conference opportunities will take place throughout the year.
