NWFA Degrees

The NWFA’s degree program recognizes individuals who demonstrate dedication and commitment to their profession. Individuals earning NWFA degrees actively participate in the industry through education, training, teaching and volunteerism.

Available Degrees

The Craftsman degree recognizes individuals who have achieved 25 credits for education, achievement and service, of which 15 must be in education.

The Master Craftsman degree recognizes individuals who have received the Craftsman Degree, who have attended or served as an instructor or student at an NWFA Advanced Installation training, Expert Installation training, or Expert Sand & Finish training, and/or have received an NWFA Wood Floor of the Year Award, and who have earned an additional 25 credits, of which 15 are for achievement.

The Advanced Master degree recognizes individuals who have received the Master Craftsman Degree and have earned an additional 25 achievement credits.

The Vanguard degree recognizes individuals who have earned 25 credits, of which 15 are for achievement and/or service to the industry.

The Ambassador degree recognizes individuals who have received the Vanguard degree and have earned an additional 25 service credits.

The Honorary Vanguard degree recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the NWFA and the wood flooring industry. Honorary Vanguard degree recipients must be nominated by a member, reviewed by the NWFA Executive Committee, and approved by a two-thirds vote of the NWFA Board of Directors.
